Mystery Jets announce their fourth album and biggest ever UK show - ticket details

Band are set to headline O2 Academy Brixton to celebrate the release of 'LP4'

Mystery Jets have announced details of their biggest ever UK show, which will take place in May 2012.

The Eel Pie Island clan will headline O2 Academy Brixton on May 18, with the show set to coincide with the release of their forthcoming new studio album 'LP4', which will be out in April. The gig will be part of their full UK tour, with more dates set to be announced soon.

A message from the band's singer, Blaine Harrison, said:

We have returned from Texas with dirty boots, a family member heavier (a beautiful young lady by the name of Odessa) and a quiver of new songs. Admittedly less than we went out with (such are the worlds' ways) but damn me if they aren't some of our favourite yet.

He also went on to reference the 02 Academy Brixton show, adding: "Join us on Friday 18th May, 2012 as we roll up our sleeves, pull the cactus needles from our butts and play the biggest hometown jets show yet at Brixton Academy. Its been a long old while London, and I for one cannot wait."

'LP4' will be the fourth studio album by the Mystery Jets and is the follow-up to their last LP, 2010's 'Serotonin'. The band's bassist, Kai Fish also released his solo debut album 'Life In Monochrome' earlier this year.
