N-Dubz‘s Dappy has issued an apology after sending death threats to someone who poked fun at him and his band.
The rapper – real name Dino Contostavlos, sent the threats to mum-of-one Chloe Moody after she called him “vile” and his band “losers” during Chris Moyles‘ BBC Radio 1 show on Tuesday (January 12).
Dappy noted down Moody‘s number without production staff knowing and preceded to call and text her with the threats, reports BBC News.
In the apology the rapper said: “I totally apologise. I sent the messages to her in the heat of the moment when I was angry, but that’s no excuse.”
Last November, Dappy joined the Secretary Of State For Schools Ed Balls to launch a government campaign against “cyber-bullying” over mobile phones and the internet.
At the time, Balls welcomed the release of an N-Dubz track called ‘U Cyber Safe’ as part of anti-bullying week, and hailed the group as “great ambassadors” in the fight against bullying.
