A Californian judge clears the band of copyright violation...

BYE BYE BYE!

N Sync have been cleared of copyright violation by a CALIFORNIAN judge over a lawsuit brought against them by two puppet-makers.

A federal judge threw out the suit which sought damages for Sid and Marty Krofft, two puppet-makers who claimed backstage passes used by the boyband in December 2000 featured a likeness of puppets they made for an N Sync performance at the American Music Awards in 2000.

Meanwhile, N Sync release new single 'Girlfriend' in the UK today (April 15). The track, which features guest vocals from rapper Nelly, is number five in the Billboard 100 in the US.
