Nas has turned himself into NEW YORK police and been charged with second degree assault following an incident in a MANHATTAN nightclub.

The rapper is reported to have been at Club Ciclo on December 10 when a man approached him, claiming Nas had grabbed him.

Police say that a fight broke out, but was stopped by bouncers. However, as Nas was being restrained, he threw a bottle at the unidentified man, which hit and cut him.

According to allhiphop.com, the rapper was charged with assault. He was booked but then released immediately. He is to appear in court on January 20.

Neither Nas or his label, Columbia, have commented on the incident as yet.
