COLE MINING

Excerpts from soul and jazz singer NATALIE COLE's autobiography have kicked up a stir after being published in a US magazine.

The book, 'Angel On My Shoulder' contains candid comments about her well-known drug addiction which she claims stems from years of "walking in her father's shadow".

The book also touches on Cole's singing career, which kicked off in earnest with her 1987 album 'Everlasting', which featured her cover version of Bruce Springsteen's 'Pink Cadillac'. She went on to release an eerie "duet," singing on her deceased father Nat 'King' Cole?s classic 'Unforgettable'.

'Angel On My Shoulder' is expected to be published in the UK before Christmas.
