Nate Dogg’s funeral will take place on Saturday (March 26) and will be open to the public.

The singer/rapper died last week (March 15) in his hometown of Long Beach, California. The funeral service will take place at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal.

His sister Pamela Hale-Burns told the Long Beach Press Telegram that although the service will be open to the public no cameras would be allowed in the venue.

It is set to begin at 10am (EST), with strict security measures set to to be enforced at the doors.

Eminem was among those who paid tribute to Nate, saying that he helped "created the blueprint for West Coast hip-hop". Snoop Dogg paid tribute to him at his recent South By Southwest festival show in Austin.
