Singer-songwriter announces London show as part of festival

Neil Diamond has scored his first-ever Number One album on the Billboard chart this week with the Rick Rubin-produced 'Home After Dark'. The record is Diamond’s second with super-producer Rubin, following 2005’s '12 Songs'. The first week sales of the album hit the 146,000 mark. Pic: PA Photos
Neil Diamond has been announced as the final 'legend' for this year's Radio 2 Electric Proms.

The singer-songwriter will play the Roundhouse in London on October 30, completing a trio of shows with Elton John (28) and Robert Plant (29) also playing at the same venue.

Tickets are yet to go on sale, and more names will be announced for this year's BBC Electric Proms soon.
