Neil Young, Willie Nelson for Farm Aid 2009
The benefit concert hits St Louis for the first time
Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews and John Mellencamp are set to headline Farm Aid 2009 when it hits St Louis, Missouri for the first time this autumn.
The singers, who are also board members of the organisation that aids American farmers, will perform at the benefit show on October 4 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights.
The ninth annual event comes at a time when Farm Aid has received a record number of calls from farmers seeking assistance due to the ailing economy.
Tickets for the benefit are set to go on sale July 25 for the general public, and tomorrow (July 17) for Farm Aid members at FarmAid.org. The complete line-up is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
