Neil Young has posted a 37-minute long collaboration with his band Crazy Horse online, which is currently streaming at Neilyoung.com.
The sequence is titled 'Horse Back' and was recorded at Audio Casa Blanca studios on January 6 this month. There is no confirmed tracklisting, but over the course of the track's video, lyric sheets are shown for songs that are titled 'Gallows Pole', 'Clementine', 'This Land', 'Oh Susanna!','She'll Be Coming Around The Mountain' and 'Gotta Travel On (Done Laid Around)' .
It is not known whether the collaboration is a preview of the album that Young was known to be working on with Crazy Horse or old material that was previously unreleased.
Canadian singer songwriter Young, who released his last solo album 'Le Noise' in 2010, recently hit out at the sound quality of modern recorded music, describing the sound of modern records as "the worst we've ever had".
He said of this: "I'm finding that I have a little bit of trouble with the quality of the sound of music today. I don't like it. It just makes me angry. Not the quality of the music, but we're in the 21st century and we have the worst sound that we've ever had. It's worse than a 78 [rpm record]. Where are our geniuses? What happened?".
