'The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You' is out on September 2

Neko Case has announced plans for a brand new album, entitled 'The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You'.

Set for release on September 2, it follows 2009's 'Middle Cyclone'. Scroll down to hear the album's first single, 'Man', which features M Ward on guitar. Recorded in Tuscon, Portland, Los Angeles and Brooklyn, the album features guest appearances by Steve Turner, Howe Gelb and members of The New Pornographers, as well as My Morning Jacket, Calexico and Los Lobos. The 12-track collection also contains a cover of 'Afraid' by Nico.

Speaking about the album, Case commented: "My brain wilderness is more dense and dangerous than I thought. It was an embarrassing and hilarious march, but I now feel like a more streamlined being. It's a good feeling. Four years of my life took 10 years hostage, then gave me back 12."

The 'The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You' tracklisting is:

'Wild Creatures'
'Night Still Comes'
'Man'
'I'm From Nowhere'
'Bracing For Sunday'
'Nearly Midnight, Honolulu'
'Calling Cards'
'City Swans'
'Afraid'
'Local Girl'
'Where Did I Leave That Fire'
'Ragtime'
