Nelly Furtado, Cee-Lo added to MTV awards lineup

Nelly Furtado, Gnarls Barkley frontman Cee-Lo Green, Common and Gym Class Heroes have been added to the lineup of this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

They'll join previously announced performers including Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Amy Winehouse and Foo Fighters at the Las Vegas ceremony, which is set to take place on September 9 at the Palms Casino Resort.

Gym Class Heroes are nominated for Best New Artist and Best Group.

In addition, super-producer Timbaland has been named the "official maestro" of the ceremony, responsible for "creating several show-stopping and unexpected artist collaborations," MTV said in a statement.
