NERD mash up The White Stripes at The Isle Of Wight Festival

N.E.R.D played a dusk set at the Isle Of Wight Festival tonight (June 13), which saw them sample The White Stripes and say that they wanted to "fuck" at the summer festival.

Taking the stage at 9:15pm (BST), the band played a set including 'Rock Star', 'Lap Dance', 'Fly Or Die', 'Everyone Nose' and 'She Wants To Move', before they ended the set by leaping into the crowd and mingling with front row fans.

"If you've come here to party say 'hell yeah!'" yelled frontman Pharrell Williams after playing 'Backseat Love'.

Rapper Chad hugo added: "It's a privilege to be rockin' out with all you guys," before the band played 'Rockstar', which got the crowd bouncing and dancing in unison.

Later on in the set Williams bigged up his band's recently released album 'Seeing Sounds'.

"How many times do you buy an album and expect to go absolutely spastic?" he asked the crowd.

"I wanna fuck tonight," the rapper chanted during a frenetic rendition of 'She Wants To move', prompting an explicit crowd sing-a-long.

At the climax of the high-octane set the band sampled 'Seven Nation Army' by The White Stripes, rapping over the guitar riffs.

Williams leaped towards the front row of the crowd before heading backstage, mingling with fans and high-fiving admirers.

The band headed off stage to make way for Kaiser Chiefs, who are set to headline the first day of the festival.
