Neutral Milk Hotel and Kurt Vile announce London gigs in wake of Jabberwocky cancellation
Cloud Nothings, Forest Swords, Metz, Iceage, Ben Frost and Pissed Jeans also set for replacement gigs
Among the bands announcing last minute shows are Neutral Milk Hotel, who will play at The Forum on Friday night (August 15) with The Ex. Neutral Milk Hotel were meant to headline Jabberwocky on Saturday (August 16). Fellow headliner James Blake has not yet announced whether he will be playing anywhere else.
Elsewhere on Friday, Ben Frost and Forest Swords will play together at Corsica Studios while Ought and Big Ups will play in Shoreditch at The Old Blue Last.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Kurt Vile and Nils Frahm will play Village Underground and Pissed Jeans will appear at Birthdays in Dalston alongside Earth. The 100 Club will also stage three of the bands affected by Jabberwocky's demise with Cloud Nothings, Speedy Ortiz and Hookworms all playing the Oxford Street venue.
An all-day event will take place at The Shacklewell Arms on Saturday with Metz, Iceage, The Van Pelt and Crows all set to appear. Further bands will be added to the bill in due course. Scroll down for a full list of confirmed Jabberwocky replacement gigs.
Bands including Chelsea Wolfe and Deafheaven have discussed plans to play a replacement gig on Facebook. Both Caribou and Joanna Gruesome have confirmed, however, that they will not be playing any replacement gigs.

A joint venture by ATP, Pitchfork and Primavera Sound, Jabberwocky Festival was set to take place on August 15-16 at the Excel Centre. However, as confirmed by organisers ATP, Jabberwocky will no longer go ahead due to poor ticket sales. A statement claims that going ahead with the festival would have caused "the end of ATP".
Sad to hear that jabberwocky is cancelled. Trying our best to put something together for Saturday.— METZtheband (@METZtheband) August 12, 2014
Unfortunately we're not able to do a show in London this weekend to replace Jabberwocky. Shame - we were really looking forward to it.— Caribou (@caribouband) August 13, 2014
