NEW FOUND GLORY PULL OUT OF CARLING WEEKEND

There's a spare slot on the Main Stage...

NEW FOUND GLORY have pulled out of the CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS FESTIVALS.

The band were due to appear on the main stage of this month’s event, on a bill that also includes Green Day and 50 Cent.

However, the band will now not come to the UK for the shows. NME.COM understands it is because they have been offered the opportunity to take part in the MTV Awards in the US.

A spokesperson for the festival said: "We are disappointed the band feel that this is more important than playing the festivals."

This year’s event takes place over the weekend of August 27-29.
