Antony And The Johnsons, Goblin Cock for Noise Pop festival

Antony & The Johnsons and New Pornographers frontman AC Newman are among the first artists to join the lineup for San Francisco's 2009 Noise Pop Festival.

The event is set to take place from February 24 through to March 1 at venues throughout San Francisco.

Also on the bill so far are No Age, Goblin Cock, Clues and Dear And The Headlights.

In addition, there will be film screenings of 'Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison' and 'Agile Mobile Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams', which chronicles the life the hit songwriter who has worked with Ike Turner and Stevie Wonder. Several screenings will include Q&A discussions with the filmmakers.

Similar to Austin's South by Southwest and New York’s CMJ, Noise Pop also features a film festival, panel discussions, and other industry-related events.

Additional bands and screenings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
