The Seventies punk legends head for Northern Ireland...

US glam punk legends the NEW YORK
DOLLS are to follow their comeback shows at
Morrissey's MELTDOWN with a massive outdoor gig in BELFAST.

The band, who reformed at the request of the former
man, will support in front of thousands in the
Botanic Gardens on August 25.

' drummer Gary
Powell took the place of the New York Dolls' late
drummer Jerry Nolan during this
week’s comeback shows, though it is not clear if he
will remain in place for the Irish show.

' pals Blanche are also appearing at the one-day event, billed as the Tennents Vital
Festival.
