New York Dolls and We Are Scientists for Coney Island

Siren Festival initial line-up is unveiled

New York Dolls, We Are Scientists and The Black Lips are among the bands scheduled to play the 2007 Siren Festival at Coney Island.

Matt and Kim, Dr. Dog, Detroit Cobras and Elvis Perkins are among the other acts confirmed in the initial line-up revealed today by The Village Voice.

The one-day festival takes place in the shadow of Coney Island’s famous Cyclone rollercoaster at the Astroland amusement park on the boardwalk.

The future of the festival remains unclear following the recent sale of Astroland from the Albert family to property developers. However, the family will continue to operate the Cyclone, which will be 80 this year.

Matt And Kim
The Black Lips
Dr. Dog
Lavender Diamond
Detroit Cobras
Elvis Perkins
The Twilight Sad
