Global Gathering to go ahead despite bad weather

The forthcoming Global Gathering event is set to continue - despite the adverse weather conditions that have affected other festivals.

Truck Festival and Fflam festival were forced to cancel at the last minute due to the severe weather conditions being experienced in Britain this summer.

However Global Gathering is still set to go ahead this weekend (July 27,28) at Long Marston Airfield in Stratford-upon-Avon.

In a statement, it was revealed the festival is set to go ahead because of their drainage syuystem.

The statement says: “Long Marston Airfield is on flat ground and not to susceptible to flooding.

"The campsite also has good drainage and is equipped with hot showers and full amenities such as provision shops and bars. Therefore organisers are confident of being able to host a safe, well-managed event.”

Amongst the artists playing are Basement Jaxx, Faithless and New Young Pony Club.
