Nick Cave to present 2009 Turner Prize winner

Nick Cave will announce the winner of this year's Turner Prize on December 1.

The singer will hand out the annual art award at the ceremony, set to take place at London's Tate Britain gallery.

This year's Turner Prize exhibition features a mannequin sat on the toilet and scenes of a woman smashing china tea cups to the floor.

Four artists - Goshka Macuga, Runa Islam, Cathy Wilkes and Mark Leckey - have been shortlisted for the prize.

Cave will follow in the footsteps of Madonna, who handed over the prize in 2001.
