Nick Cave has reunited with Kylie Minogue in new film 20,000 Days on Earth.

The pair first worked together on the 1995 song 'Where Wild Roses Grow' and will join forces as part of the cast of the drama-documentary due for cinema release in 2014. The film is directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard and tells the story of Cave's 20,000th day on earth. A picture of Minogue's cameo appearance can be seen above.

Directors Forsyth and Pollard previously worked on the music videos for all the singles from Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds' 2008 album 'Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!' and will helm the fictionalised account of 24 hours in the frontman's life. Ray Winstone will make a cameo appearance in the film, which is entirely unscripted and also features unrehearsed scenes.

Nick Cave recently spoke about his canned Gladiator 2 screenplay, revealing that he was approached by Gladiator actor Russell Crowe to pen the script for the sequel to director Ridley Scott's Roman Empire epic, despite all the main characters being killed off in the first film. Cave discussed his script with US comedian Mark Maron for his WTF podcast where he revealed details of the plot and why his script was never put into production.
