New Nick Drake compilation album on the way
'Family Tree' will share Drake's bootlegs with the fans
Nick Drake is to be celebrated in a brand new rarities compilation 33 years after his death.
The record, 'Family Tree', will be released on June 19.
The album will feature songs recorded before the release of his first album 'Five Leaves Left', most of which were circulated on bootlegs in the years before its official release by his family, in a bid to share his music with his fans.
The album will also feature the musical talents of Drake’s sister Gabrielle, and two original songs performed by his mother Molly Drake.
The compilation will also showcase the best of Drake’s covers, including interpretations of the Bob Dylan classic 'Tomorrow Is A Long Time' and the track 'Strolling Down The Highway'[b].
[B]Drake died of a suspected drug overdoes in 1974.
