Nickelback have been named as the biggest musical turnoff, according to a new survey.

Music-based dating website Tastebuds.fm, which matches potential partners based on their taste in music, has carried out the research to find out what their users biggest musical turnoffs were and the Canadian arena rockers came out on top.

Users were asked to nominate up to 12 acts which they regarded as their biggest musical turnoffs, with Nickelback picking up over 13% of all votes cast.

Justin Bieber was second in the poll, with Lady Gaga third, Ke$ha fourth and Coldplay in fifth place. U2, Creed, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne and Britney Spears featured lower down the Top 10.

2. Justin Bieber
3. Lady Gaga
4. Ke$ha
5. Coldplay
