Nicki Minaj's new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' to be released in February 2012
Rapper's 'Pink Friday' follow-up will drop on Valentine's Day next year
Yesterday (November 22), her record label boss Brian 'Birdman' Williams hinted that the rapper could drop the follow-up to her 2010 debut 'Pink Friday' early next year.
Now, the hip-hop star has taken to Twitter to confirm that she will release 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' on February 14, writing:
'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' will be released on Valentines Day, 2012. Heeeee's baaaacccckkkkk.
Minaj had hinted that she would be recording material as her gay male alter-ego Roman earlier this month. The rapper, who introduced the persona on 'Roman's Revenge', the opening track of 'Pink Friday', wrote it in a blog post: "Roman will be in rare form this time. You know why? 'Cause he no longer gives a fuck."
Last month, Minaj admitted that she had contemplated suicide before her career took off and felt frustrated as she was unable to provide financial support for her mother (October 8).
More recently, police were reportedly called to the rapper's house after she was involved in a fight with her former maid. The maid was fired a month ago after she was discovered by Minaj taking a photograph from the bin in and asking the rapper to sign it, and a row erupted when she returned to Minaj's Hollywood home.
