Nicki Minaj has deleted her Twitter account Twitter.com/NickiMinaj after a disagreement with some of her followers.

The rapper, who released her second album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' earlier this month, has deleted her account after going on a lengthy rant against one of her followers who had posted snippets of her new album online.

She wrote of her decision to quit: "And that's exactly why I'm paying the barbz dust right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh (Shaking my damn head) - don't cry for me Argentina. Like seriously, only so much a person can take. Good fucking bye."

The rapper now has 30 days left to change her mind about the social network, after that her account will be deleted permanently.

Last month, Nicki Minaj announced a short UK tour for this June. The tour begins with two shows at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 24 and 25, before moving onto Birmingham's NIA Academy on June 26. Minaj wraps up the tour on June 28 with a show at Manchester's O2 Apollo.

Nicki Minaj will also play a number of this year's summer festivals, with slots booked at T In The Park, V Festival and Wireless Festival.
