Nicki Minaj: 'A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter'
She says she hopes her 11 million followers will wait for her
It was thought that the rapper got rid of her social networking account after a disagreement with some of her followers who had posted snippets of her new album online. Now Minaj has told TV host Graham Norton – via Idolator - that: "A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that's what I did." She added: "I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me."
When asked on The Graham Norton Show if she will return to Twitter, she responded: "I don't know yet, I'm thinking about it. I miss my Barbz, please bear with me."
The rapper released her second album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' earlier this month. Last month, Nicki Minaj announced a short UK tour for this June. The tour begins with two shows at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 24 and 25, before moving onto Birmingham's NIA Academy on June 26. Minaj wraps up the tour on June 28 with a show at Manchester's O2 Apollo.
Nicki Minaj will also play a number of this year's summer festivals, with slots booked at T In The Park, V Festival and Wireless Festival.
