Nine Black Alps release their debut single proper next month.

Following their limited edition debut on Manchester-based independent Melodic, the hotly-tipped nu-grungers release a new version of ‘Shot Down’, the demo that first got them noticed, on February 28 through Island.

The track, along with the rest of their forthcoming debut album, was recorded with Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith / Beck) at Los Angeles’ Sunset Sound studios.

Kaiser Chiefs play a sold-out ShockWaves NME Awards Show on February 16 with The Tears, The Magic Numbers and The Dead 60s at London Astoria, along with the following headline dates:
