Nine Black Alps take on their record label
The band don’t want to re-release ‘Cosmopolitan’
Nine Black Alps are taking on their record label over their next single.
The band are urging Island not to re-release their debut ‘Cosmopolitan’ in early 2006, but instead to let them put out some new material.
“I can’t really see the point of re-releasing ‘Cosmopolitan’,” singer Sam Forrest told Gigwise. “It’s not going to get on the radio. It’s just two-and-a-half minutes of shouting about how horrible everybody is.”
Nine Black Alps are also believed to be planning a Christmas show in their hometown of Manchester, with support coming from one of Forrest’s favourite new bands, We Start Fires.
