Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor has posted the first piece of his score for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo online.

The track, which has not been given a title, is a brooding instrumental section, which is just over seven minutes long. You can hear it at the bottom of the page.

It is the second piece of music to emerge from the soundtrack, after Reznor and his writing partner Atticus Ross' reworked version of Led Zeppelin’s 'Immigrant Song', which featured Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O on vocals, emerged online with the film's first trailer.

The remake, which stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, will be released in UK cinemas in December. It is Reznor's second collaboration with director David Fincher, after he and writing partner Atticus Ross scored 2009's The Social Network, winning an Oscar in the process.

Reznor has previously indicated that he will return to work as Nine Inch Nails after he completes work on the soundtrack.
