Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has received a Golden Globe nomination for the soundtrack for the forthcoming remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

The singer and his co-composer Atticus Ross got a nod for the Best Original Score. They face competition from Martin Scorsese's Hugo and the War Horse score by Star Wars composer John Williams, reports MTV.COM.

This is the second time Reznor and Ross have been in the running for the accolade. Earlier this year they won the same title for The Social Network and an Oscar.

The ceremony, which will be hosted by Ricky Gervais for a third time, takes place on January 15, 2012.

The remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has been directed by David Fincher and stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. It will be released in UK cinemas on December 26. You can watch the trailer for the film by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

Reznor and Ross' soundtrack features a collaboration between Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O on a cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song'. Scroll down and click below to hear the track.

The soundtrack itself is over three hours long and contains 39 tracks in total.
