Nirvana 'Bleach' deluxe re-issue on its way

20th anniversary edition features new live recordings

A 20th anniversary edition of Nirvana's 1989 debut album 'Bleach' is set to be released by Sub Pop this autumn.

The band's first Seattle-based record label is putting together a remastered, expanded double CD/EP that will include a previously unreleased live recording of the group's February 9, 1990 performance at Portland's Pine Street Theatre. The gig includes Kurt Cobain and co's performances of 'About A Girl', a cover of The Vaselines' 'Molly's Lips', and their 1988 debut single, a cover of Shocking Blue's 'Love Buzz'.

The new version of the album will also contain a 16-page booklet featuring previously unreleased photos.

The double LP will also be available on white vinyl, just like the original album.

Pretty pointless cash grab reissue, it's not like live tracks of songs already on the album and other albums are an incentive to buy it. Also who wants to bet the album has been remastered and given the loudness war treatment? We'll have to hold onto our original copies of 'Bleach' for dear life 'cause i think the original master with all the punchy dynamics will go out of print and soon the loudness war massacred version is all you'll be able to buy.
