Dave Grohl is said to be working on a documentary about Sound City Studios, where he recorded Nirvana’s seminal album ’Nevermind’ 20 years ago.
REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin recently revealed some details of the project to Artisan News, saying:
Dave is working on this project based on a studio that we all used to work at. It’s really interesting. I probably shouldn’t be talking about it – Dave will probably announce it. But it’s very cool. I’ve been in contact with him lately.
He continued:
There was a studio that all of us worked at, where they recorded ‘Nevermind’, and I know that it meant a lot to a lot of artists. So Dave is just kind of putting together something to get the stories that all the artists had about that studio.
No title or release date has been revealed for the film. You can watch the full interview below.
Nirvana are set to enter the Top Five in the UK album chart this Sunday (October 2), following the successful reissue of 'Nevermind', which was at Number Four in the midweek chart.
