TV trailer for Nirvana's 'In Utero' surfaces online - watch

The bizarre 1993 clip features a pregnant Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl in dresses being coached by Bob "Bobcat" Goldthwait

A bizarre TV trailer for Nirvana's third album 'In Utero' has emerged online – watch it above.

The promo features Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl all heavily pregnant and wearing dresses in an antenatal class with comedian and actor Bob "Bobcat" Goldthwait. "Push!" Goldthwait screams as the trio lie on the floor breathing hevily before babies come shooting out from Kurt Cobain's dress.

The clip is being released as part of the build-up to the 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of the album, which was originally released on September 13, 1993. The follow-up to 1991's seminal 'Nevermind', it was produced by Steve Albini over two weeks at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.

In other Nirvana news, Jay-Z has used Cobain's lyrics to the track 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' for a song on his new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'. The track, 'Holy Grail' was co-written by The Dream and produced by Timbaland and features on the rapper's 12th album.

Dave Grohl also recently revealed that he approached PJ Harvey to join a Nirvana reunion. When asked by NME if he would ever cover a Nirvana track live, he said: "Every once in a while we talk about it. For the Sound City gig here in London we were thinking about musicians that we could invite because Stevie Nicks and John Fogerty couldn't make it. Someone came up with the idea of doing a Nirvana song with PJ Harvey. Kurt loved her and we love her and we thought, 'Yeah, what would we do?' I said: 'God, what if we were to do 'Milk It' from 'In Utero' with Polly singing?' We all looked at each other like, 'Woah, that would be amazing…' and then she couldn't do it!"

Paul Mccartney recently joined the remaining members of Nirvana to record and perform a track 'Cut Me Some Slack', which was written for Dave Grohl's documentary Sound City.
