Courtney Love has said that she expects an "awkward" atmosphere when she sits at a table with Dave Grohl at Nirvana's induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame later this year.

As previously reported, Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall And Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt will be inducted on April 10. Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band will also be given the Award For Musical Excellence on the night. Artists are eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record, meaning Nirvana, who released debut album 'Bleach' in 1989, have been nominated at the first possible opportunity.

Love, who has a strained relationship with former Nirvana drummer Grohl and once claimed he attempted to sleep with her teenage daughter, appeared on US TV show Access Hollywood and was quizzed on her feelings for the Foo Fighters frontman. "Well, we're going to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and I think we're all sitting at the table," Love said. Asked if she thinks it will be "awkward" when she sees him, Love said, "Yes," before adding, "I'm no hashtag Yoko." Scroll down to watch a clip of the interview.

It could be an uncomfortable night in general on April 10, with fellow nominees Kiss also in the room. In October 2013, Kiss leader Gene Simmons said that artists like Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse, who only released a couple of albums, cannot be seen as music icons. He said: "Kurt Cobain – no, that's one or two records, that's not enough. Amy Winehouse – that's one or two records, that's not enough. What, just because you died that makes you an icon? No, no."
