Muse win Best British Band at Shockwaves NME Awards
The three-piece cap an amazing year
Muse have been crowned this year’s Best British Band at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (March 1).
The result was announced by Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson and New Order bassist Peter Hook.
The band were unable to attend the awards due to their current Asian tour, but sent a video message from the stage on one of their gigs in Taiwan.
"This is very kind, thank you very much," said, drummer Matt Howard before joking, "I must go, as I have to play a riff!"

Babyshambles
Kasabian
Oasis
