Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong kick off Shockwaves NME Awards Launch Party

Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong played a short but sweet set to kick off the Shockwaves NME Awards Launch Party tonight (December 6).

The band played three tracks at the Indig02 in London, including singles ’Lonely Buoy’ and ’Lucio Starts Fires’.

Host George Lamb introduced the band by saying: “This is a hotly tipped band who are playing the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour.”

Their triumphant set saw frontman Joe Lean banging a bass drum in between tracks.

After a grungey version of forthcoming release ’Lucio Starts Fires’, Lean thanked the crowd before playing ’Where Do you Go?’.
