Babyshambles man misses launch party due to 'illness'
Pete Doherty has cancelled his Shockwaves NME Awards Launch Party appearance tonight (December 6) due to "illness".
The band were due to headline the gig at London's Indig02 venue.
However, members of Babyshambles have arrived at the venue and are now set to play the gig without their frontman.
Earlier tonight, Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong and The Wombats played rousing sets to kick off NME's first ever awards launch party.
