Glasvegas win Philip Hall Radar Award at Shockwaves NME Awards 2008
Hotly tipped act take home the prize for new bands
The award is voted for by NME’s staff and is named in honour of the late manager of The Stone Roses and Manic Street Preachers.
The Scottish newcomers picked up the prize from Dirty Pretty Things' Carl Barat.
