Shockwaves NME Awards 2008: Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals take Best Live Event

The Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals have scooped the Best Live Event award at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008.

Organiser Melvin Benn picked up the award from The Charlatans' frontman Tim Burgess.

The other nominees for the Best Live Event award were Glastonbury, Muse at Wembley Stadium, T In The Park and the V Festival.
