The Good, The Bad & The Queen have won the Best Album Artwork award at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (February 28) for their self-titled album.

The artwork for the record was partly created by the band’s bassist and member of The Clash, Paul Simonon, who has been exhibited as a visual artist in his own right.

The other nominees in the Best Album Artwork category – a new award for 2008 - were: Arctic Monkeys (’Favourite Worst Nightmare’), The Killers (’Sawdust’), Kings Of Leon (’Because Of The Times’) and Manic Street Preachers (’Send Away The Tigers’).
