The Londoners triumph at Los Angeles ceremony

Klaxons have won Best New International Indie/Alternative Live Act at the NME Awards USA in Los Angeles tonight (April 23).

The south Londoners, who from Coachella to Glastonbury last year were firm festival favourites, topped the poll voted for by NME.COM's US users.

The other nominees were:

CSS

The Pigeon Detectives

With the British NME Awards already a key event on the global music scene, this year marks the launch of the NME Awards in north America.
