Alice Cooper declares NME Awards USA his kind of party

Alice Cooper has heralded the arrival of the first NME Awards USA in Los Angeles (April 23).

The rocker, who was a guest presenter, declared he was blown away by the party, which he said was a stark contrast to some US award ceremonies.

"It's great, I love the idea that it's so loose," he declared. "You go to so many of these things and it's… [yawns]. Something is happening here!"
