Wild Beasts, Marina, Delphic and more help out new bands – video
A host of bands have been providing advice for the new acts signed up to NME's new music network NME Breakthrough.

Speaking to a host of the acts at last week's Great Escape festival in Brighton, the likes of These New Purtians, Delphic, The Cribs and more have been speaking about what they've learned from experience in a series of exclusive video interviews.

Wild Beasts, whose video you can watch on the right now, stressed the importance of new talents finding their own identities.

"You have to trust your instincts and go with what you believe in rather than be pushed into a corner and be told you're not this or that," drummer Chris Talbot told NME.

"You have to assume you're good," added co-vocalist Tom Fleming. "[You need to] have enough self-belief and back it up with hard work and eventually you'll get a sense of whether it will come good or it won't."

Meanwhile, Marina Diamandis from Marina And The Diamonds suggested that new talents should try "not to recreate a sound that is fashionable or current, because it won't be next year!"
