NME Breakthrough winner announced
The ABC Club top the poll after judging panel and user votes decide outcome
Leeds band The ABC Club have won the inaugural NME Breakthrough supported by BlackBerry competition.
The NME Breakthrough competition involved a search for the best unsigned act in the UK who had signed up to the online community.
NME judges whittled down the hundreds of acts who entered to five shortlisted acts, then users of NME Breakthrough voted for their favourite, picking The ABC Club.
The ABC Club will now play at Club NME KOKO in London at a future date, get a one-page feature in NME's Radar section and come into NME HQ to get an electronic press kit made for them.
See NME.COM/breakthrough for more about the online community.
