Dirty Pretty Things top NME chart

Dirty Pretty Things have ended Muse’s reign at the top of the NME Chart tonight (June 11) with their new single ‘Deadwood’.

Carl Barat’s band see off the challenge of Justice vs Simian, who rise to Two with ‘We Are Your Friends’.

There are three new entries this week – the highest being Razorlight at Four with ‘In The Morning’. The Flaming Lips go in at Nine with ‘The W.A.N.D.’, while The Strokes enter at Ten with ‘You Only Live Once’.

The Top Ten is:

1. Dirty Pretty Things – ‘Deadwood’
2. Justice vs Simian – ‘We Are Your Freinds’
3. Muse - ‘Supermassive Black Hole’
4. Razorlight – ‘In The Morning’
5. Wolfmother – ‘Woman’
6. Guillemots – ‘Made Up Love Song #43’
7. The Kooks – ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’
8. The Fratellis – ‘Henrietta’
9. The Flaming Lips – ‘The W.A.N.D.’
10. The Strokes – ‘You Only Live Once’
