The Hives are knocked off the top spot

The Wombats have topped the NME Chart tonight (October 21) with ’Let’s Dance To Joy Division’.

The track has knocked The Hives off the topspot, with ’Tick Tick Boom’ going down to Number Three.

The sole new entry on the chart comes from The Cribs, whose new track ’Don’t You Wanna Be Relevant’ is in at Number Seven.

The Top 10 is:

1. The Wombats – ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’
2. Kings Of Leon – ‘Charmer’
3. The Hives - ‘Tick Tick Boom’
4. Babyshambles - ‘Delivery’
5. Joe Lean & The Jing Jan Jong – ‘Lucio Starts Fires’
6. Biffy Clyro - ‘Machines’
7. The Cribs - ‘Don’t You Wanna Be Relevant’
8. The Young Knives - ‘Terra Firma’
9. The Courteeners - ‘Acrylic’
10. Jack Penate - ‘Second, Minute Or Hour’

Will The Wombats manage to hold onto the top spot when Bloc Party come back with ’Flux’ or will Editors take the top spot with ’Racing Rats’?
