Rage Against The Machine have topped the first NME Chart of 2010.

Despite the successful a fan-led campaign encouraging fans to buy the 1992 track to bag last year's Christmas Number One coming to an end, the track is still sitting at the top of our chart.

The Top Ten is:

1. Rage Against The Machine – 'Killing In The Name'
2. Mumford & Sons – 'Little Lion Man'
3. Muse – 'Undisclosed Desires'
4. Ellie Goulding – 'Under The Sheets'
5. Taken By Trees – 'Sweet Child O Mind'
6. Temper Trap – 'Fader'
7. Simian Mobile Disco – 'Cruel Intentions'
8. Bloc Party – 'One More Chance'
9. Bombay Bicycle Club – 'Always Like This'
10. Death Cab For Cutie – 'Meet Me On The Equinox'

The NME Chart was today (January 4) exclusively announced live on NME Radio, who count down the Top 30 every Monday from 10am (GMT).
