This week on NME Radio 5-9 October 2009

Tune in to NME Radio this week for the regular DJs and music, plus all this action.

Monday
NME Radio brings a brand new presenter into the fold this week. Jon Hillcock joins the station from XFM and will be looking after weekday mornings from 10am to midday with a mix of new music, gig news and MP3 giveaways. He’ll also be heading up our Saturday night New Noise show from 7pm to 9pm so tune in for the latest new bands to kick-start your weekend. Samanthi’s weekday show will now run from 12pm to 3pm Monday to Friday. Today Jon’s giving away Pixies tickets for their O2 Academy Brixton show on Wednesday.

Tuesday
Editors join Iain Baker live in the studio from 5pm today to talk about their forthcoming third album 'In This Light And On This Evening'.

Wednesday
Today is Kasabian day at NME Radio as the band join Samanthi in the studio from 2pm. They’ll be talking about their forthcoming tour and playing some special tracks they recorded for us earlier in the day.

The NME Forum takes place from 4pm, with music from Editors and Amazing Baby up for discussion by Iain Baker and Mark Sutherland from Billboard magazine.

Thursday
Charlie Fink from Noah And The Whale came in recently for a chat with Samanthi. Hear the whole thing from 2pm today.

Tune in later, meanwhile, for a very special outside broadcast from the annual JD Birthday Set gig at Village Underground in east London with Brett Anderson, Carl Barat and Jon McClure. Iain Baker will be speaking to them all from 3pm.

Friday
Former New Order man Peter Hook drops in to talk to Iain Baker about his new book 'The Hacienda: How Not To Run A Club'.

To tune in, head to Sky Channel 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727, DAB in London or NME.COM/Radio.
