Rap's original playa will release new album through the web...

ICE T:

Ice-T is the latest rapper to join the online Mp3 revolution to sell his music. He's just signed a deal with mp3.com, which will release advance tracks from his forthcoming album '7th Deadly Sin' including an exclusive release of the first single from the album 'Don't Hate The Playa'.

mp3.com will also host a mini-site called Ice Picks which will have a selection of Ice T's recommendations of current hip hop releases.

"This is the future," Ice T said. "There's a transition taking place and the future is opening up the chance for new artists to be able to put out records and get their music to people directly without having to sign themselves to slavery with a record deal."
