CREATION RECORDS have warned bands of people pretending to be agents of the label and promising record deals in exchange for cash payments.
The label - the home of Oasis, Primal Scream, Super Furry Animals and Teenage Fanclub - issued a statement on Wednesday (April 16) denying any link with the con artists, and warning anyone contacted by the bogus agents to contact the police.
No details were given about who had been approached, or whether anyone had given money to them or laid official complaints. Police stations contacted by NME said they had received no complaints by any members of the public.
