INTRODUCING – CLUB NME!

First we took over Wednesdays by bringing you the best music weekly in the world, and now we're claiming Thursday too with the launch of CLUB NME.

NME's first official club night launches at Stealth in Nottingham next month, bringing you the best DJ's, the cheapest drink and the best new band action this side of the festivals. The club promises punk funk, electro and disco in one room, while the other hosts guitars and live action from some of the most exciting new bands on the planet.

The launch party takes place on May 6 and features the DJ talents of Home Taping Is Killing Music, Joey Bell (Punish The Atom), Riotous Rockers (Liars Club) and NME writers Julian Marshall, Mark Beaumont and Imran Ahmed. Live music comes from hotly tipped Leeds natives 10,000 Things and punk-funkers Punish The Atom.

Club promoter James Ballie said: "Stealth is thrumming with excitement to be working with NME and putting on some of the most exciting new and unsigned bands in the country alongside a host of DJ's spinning new wave, old wave and revved up, sleazy rock 'n' roll. Club NME is about getting fucked up every Thursday night where the new jilted generation come out to play."

The weekly night will take place every Thursday at the venue. NME readers can get into the club for just £2 by ripping out the voucher on page eight of this week's mag (dated May 1) and taking it along.
